This deciduous terrestrial orchid grows in coastal heath where it is often locally common and occurs in
large groups. The leaf grows to about 20mm diameter and grows just above the
ground. The 12mm flower occurs on a short stem and is greyish and
dark maroon. The labellum has tiny marginal teeth with a round
central raised area which is white with a pale purplish centre. The
labellum is covered in bristles and the labellum has a distinctive tail
like tip.
Corybas undulatus is similar to Corybas fimbriatus
and Corybas hispidus but can
be easily be differentiated by the tail like tip to the labellum.
