This deciduous terrestrial grows in the open eucalypt
forests around Brisbane. As it is so small, it is easily overlooked.
The flower stem grows to 10cm with up to 40 crowded flowers. The
flowers are only about 4mm across and are redish brown. The lateral
sepals are tipped with a small gland.
This Genoplesium can be distinguished from all others by its
very crowded flowers and it single leaf separating from the stem just
below the lowest flower. |
